The examination committee fulfils a supervisory role within the Academy of Theatre and Dance. The committee is independent and monitors the quality of testing and assessment in relation to the formulated competences and final qualifications of the programmes.
The examination committee does this by appointing examiners, drawing up guidelines for testing and assessment (including certification), combating fraud, checking the quality of testing and assessment and taking decisions on objections submitted, exemptions and personal study programmes. The Education and Examination Regulations (OER) form the guideline for decision-making by the examination committee, as does the Study Guide, which contains the programme's competences and final qualifications. In addition, the examination committee gives solicited and unsolicited advice on topics related to the quality of testing and assessment.

When should you contact the examination board?
In case of questions or problems with testing and assessment, it is advisable to first discuss this with the relevant teacher and/or the programme's artistic director. And although the examination committee decides formally, applications for exemptions or a personal study route also go primarily through the artistic director. For problems with your study progress, you can go to the study supervisor or the dean.

If none of this solves anything, you can consider contacting the examination board:

If you believe that something has gone wrong in the creation of your assessment or you question the assessment procedure and consultation with the lecturer, examiner or artistic director of the programme about this has not brought a solution;
If you feel that something went wrong with the granting of an exemption or the establishment of a personal study route.
You then lodge an objection against the course of action or the decision. The examination committee will investigate whether the procedures were followed correctly and whether the OER were applied properly. The decision of the examination committee may result in a procedure having to be repeated.
